Players Code of Conduct

 

PLAYERS:
 
.. I will encourage good sportsmanship from fellow players, coaches, officials and parents at all times.
 
.. I will always remember that soccer is an opportunity to learn and have fun.
 
 
.. I will do the best I can each day, remembering that all players have talents and weaknesses the same as I do.
 
.. I will treat my coaches, other players and coaches, game officials, other administrators, and fans with respect at all times; regardless of race, sex, creed or abilities and I will expect to be treated accordingly.
 
.. I will concentrate on playing soccer, always giving my best effort.
 
.. I will play by the rules at all times.
 
.. I will at all times control my temper, resisting the temptation to retaliate.
 
.. My conduct during competition towards play of the game and all officials shall be in accordance with appropriate behavior, and in accordance with FIFA’S Laws of The Game, and in adherence to WYSA rules.
 
.. While traveling, I will conduct myself so as to be a credit to myself, and my team.
 
.. Alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco products and unauthorized prescription drugs shall not be possessed, consumed or distributed before, during or after any game or at any time during soccer games & including practices.
 
Violence and/or repeated demonstrations of conduct that are in direct violation of the rules of the game, including the combination of caution offenses will be dealt with severely as follows:
 
• 1st offence: warning
• 2nd offence: sit on the bench for half a game
• 3rd offence: sit on the bench for 2 games
 
Note: The Coach is empowered to skip directly to the third step if an incident is deemed sufficiently serious.
 
Being a player, I have read and understand the New Holstein Soccer Association Code of Conduct and the Field Rules. I agree to abide to this code of conduct and practice good sportsmanship throughout the season. I pledge to help enforce this conduct as written to better the soccer experience for all.

Parents Code of Conduct

 

PARENTS/SPECTATORS:
 
.. I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, game officials, and administrators at all times.
 
.. I will support the coaches, officials, and administrators working with my child, in order to encourage a positive and enjoyable experience for all.
 
.. I will remember that the game is for the players, not for the adults.
 
.. I will ask my child to treat other players, coaches, game officials, administrators, and fans with respect.
 
.. I will always allow the coach to be the only coach, by refraining from coaching from the sidelines.
 
.. I will not enter into arguments with the other team’s parents, players, game officials or coaches.
 
.. I will not enter the field of play for any reason during the game unless asked to by a coach &/or referee.
 
.. I will not criticize game officials.
 
.. Alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco products and unauthorized prescription drugs shall not be possessed, consumed or distributed before, during or after any game while on the soccer fields.
 
*** If any of these rules are broken: a coach, referee or parent can contact the President of the NHSA. *** The following will then take place.
 
• 1st offence: Warning 
 
• 2nd offence: A meeting with the Board to discuss your behavior.
 
If you continue with your behavior after being talked to about it you will be asked to NOT attend the rest of the soccer games for that year. 
 
**If the following rule has been broken it will be handled differently. **
 
.. I will never place my hands on an official, coach or any player in a way that they feel threatened.
 
If this does happen & is reported to the board it will be handled this way:
 
You will be reported to WYSA (Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association) & they will handle the incident. It may possibly lead to you not being able to attend any future soccer games.
 
 
 
Being a parent, I have read and understand the New Holstein Soccer Association Code of Conduct and the Field Rules. I agree to abide to this code of conduct and practice good sportsmanship throughout the season. I pledge to help enforce this conduct as written to better the soccer experience for all.

Coaches Code of Conduct

 

COACHES:
 
.. The coach must never place the value of winning over the safety and welfare of players.
 
.. Coaches should be thoroughly acquainted with and demonstrate a working knowledge of the laws of the game of soccer.
 
.. Coaches are responsible for their players’ actions on the field and must not permit them to perform with the intent of causing injury to opposing players.
 
.. Coaches shall instruct players to play within the written laws of the game and within the spirit of the game at all times and should not tolerate inappropriate behavior from players regardless of the situation.
 
.. Coaches must never encourage players to violate NHSA recruitment, eligibility, or guest player rules and policies.
 
..Coaches will treat ALL players equal. Every player will be played as close to half a game as possible during every soccer game including the tournament.
 
.. On game day, officials should be treated with respect before, during, and after the game. Professional respect should be mutual and should abstain from criticizing, demeaning dialogue or gesture between official, coach, and player. Coaches must not incite players or spectators or attempt to disrupt the flow of play.
 
.. A coach’s behavior must be such as to bring credit to themselves, his organization and the sport of soccer.
 
.. Rival coaches should meet prior to the game and exchange friendly or professional greetings.
 
.. Coaches shall exhibit a respectful attitude towards players. The coach must confine themselves to the coaching area. The attitude of the coach towards officials, spectators, opposing players and coaches should be controlled and undemonstrative.
 
.. Alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco products and unauthorized prescription drugs shall not be possessed, consumed or distributed before, during or after any game or at any time while on the soccer fields including practices.
 
***If any of these rules are broken a parent or player has the right to contact the NHSA***

 
 
• 1st offence: Warning
• 2nd offence: Meet with the soccer board to discuss their behavior.
 
   If the behavior continues after you have meet with the board you will be asked to take some time off from being the coach.
